Akai today announced its latest dual SIM Symbian smartphone called Connectbook in India. Connectbook is for business customers, particularly those who send a lot of messages and emails while traveling.
Connectbook has a QWERTY keypad and connects using GPRS and Wifi. It has a 2.4 inch display and 3.2 mega pixel camera. Connectbook runs Java applications, and its memory can be expanded to 8 GB. The phone has a 3.5 mm Audio Jack and comes with a 4 GB memory card.
Akai Connectbook has an inbuilt 1000 mAh battery pack, which is perhaps sub optimal for this type of device. Once charged the battery is said to support about three or four hours of talk time.
Akai has priced this handset at nearly Rs 5795 and will sell it in 15,000 retail outlets in the country initially, with plans of expanding across a further 5,000 outlets over the coming few months.
