Bharti Airtel has revised its Rs 199 recharge plan for the prepaid customers. The Rs 199 prepaid recharge from Airtel earlier used to offer 1.4GB data per day for 28 days.
Now after revision, the plan is offering 1.5GB data per day for the same validity period. This means that the users will get additional data of 2.8 data.
The revised Rs 199 Airtel plan competes with Reliance Jio Rs 198 plan. The Jio plan offers 2GB data per day for a period of 28 days. The Jio plan still has an upper EDGE over Airtel plan as it offers 56GB of 4G data as compared to Airtel’s 42GB of 4G data.
The Airtel Rs 199 Prepaid plan is an open market plan available across all 22 circles across the country. It now comes with 1.5GB daily data, unlimited local, STD and national Roaming voice calls. Additionally, it also offers 100 SMS per day for 28 days. Earlier, the plan used to offer 1.4GB of data per day.
Airtel recently introduced a new smart recharge of Rs 23 for its prepaid users in India with a validity for 28 days. The recharge allows users to make local and STD calls at 2.5 paise per sec, while for local and national SMS, one has to pay Re 1 and Re 1.5 respectively.
