Airtel revises Rs 149 pack, offers unlimited calling

Earlier, the same pack used to offer unlimited Airtel to Airtel calls, but now the company has revised the calling benefits.

Bharti Airtel has revised its cheapest bundled pack of Rs 149. The plan now offers unlimited calling.

Earlier, the same pack used to offer unlimited Airtel to Airtel calls, but now the company has revised the calling benefits. Customers will now get unlimited calling on both local and STD on any network. Furthermore, users will also get free outgoing calls.

However, the pack still offers 1GB of 3G/4G data and it comes with a validity of 28 days. Telecom Talks notes that the pack is not available for all and it is meant for certain circles only.

With this, Airtel is once again challenging Reliance Jio. The company revised its existing plans as a part of its ‘Happy New Year’ offer. Reliance Jio has slashed the price of Rs 199 and it is now available at a price of Rs 149. Under this offer, users will get the same benefits of Rs 199 pack, meaning that they will be entitled to 1GB of data per day with a validity of 28 days, making a grand total of 28GB of 4G data.

Earlier, Reliance Jio introduced new sachet packs that bring 4G data at dirt-cheap prices. The company has introduced three sachet plans priced at Rs 19, Rs 52 and Rs 98 that gives limited validity and provides 4G data.

Starting with cheapest Rs 19 plan, it gives 150 of data and it comes with a validity of 1 day. After the data is consumed, users will still be able to access the net with a downgraded speed up to 64Kbps. Then there is Rs 52 sachet plan which offers a total 1.05GB of data with a limit of 150 MB per day. The pack comes with a validity of 7 days.

Moving on, the Rs 98 pack offers 2.1GB of 4G data with a daily FUP ( Fair Usage Policy) limit of 150 MB per day. The pack comes with a validity of 14 days. Apart from this, all the above-mentioned packs give unlimited voice calls on local, STD and roaming and free access to Jio suite.
