Airtel comes in line with Jio, starts offering unlimited 5G data

Bharti Airtel has announced that it will now offer unlimited 5G data to its consumers

Highlights

  • Airtel has begun offering unlimited 5G data to its users
  • Airtel is now giving the same benefits as Jio for its 5G users

Airtel and Jio both begun their services rollout back in October last year and since then, while Jio has offered a major benefit to its 5G users by giving them unlimited data, Airtel was lacking behind in the space. Now, Airtel has decided that it will also start giving unlimited data to its 5G users. Here’s how you can claim it.

How to claim unlimited 5G data on Airtel?

Customers will now be able to experience ultrafast, reliable and secure 5G Plus services without having to worry about data exhaustion as the company removes the capping on data usage across all existing plans.

All postpaid customers and those prepaid customers with a data plan of Rs 239 and above, except for those with Rs 455 & Rs 1,799 plan, will be able to avail of the offer. Customers can simply log on to the Airtel Thanks to claim the introductory offer.

The Airtel 5G Plus service is available to customers in over 270 cities in the country. All they will need is:

  • A 5G compatible device
  • Being in a 5G network area

For those unaware, Jio began offering unlimited 5G data to its customers ever since it began the 5G rollout. Airtel’s move of providing the same brings it in line with Reliance Jio where they are now competing neck to neck.

Meanwhile, the firm recently also announced that for its users, it will no longer be offering access to more than twelve apps for free, thanks to the introduction of Airtel Xstream Lite plan. This plan is a trimmed-down version of its Xstream Premium Plan which offers access to over 15 OTT platforms.
