Aircel launches in MP and Chattisgarh

The telecom operator has introduced the tariff plan at half rate, that is, at one paise per two seconds, for all local calls in the new circle.

Aircel has announced the launch of its GSM mobile services in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, taking the number of circles it is present in to 19.
In these circles, the telecom operator has introduced the tariff plan at half rate – at one paise per two seconds for all local calls. The offer is bundled with free local of up to 50 SMS, 150 SMS and 300 SMS, respectively depending on the product, and is valid for 30 days.
Aircel is also offering free incoming benefits for customers travelling to neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, for a period of 90 days. For calls to Gulf, USA and Canada, Aircel is providing an ISD package for USA and Canada at Rs 1.50 per minute, and for UAE, Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar at Rs 6.25 per minute.
Gurdeep Singh, chief operating officer, Aircel said in a company statement, “With mobile penetration of 40 per cent in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, there is a huge opportunity to serve our consumers.”
Aircel has a subscriber base of 40 million and is the fifth largest operator in the country. It is present in 19 telecom circles – Mumbai, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh East, Uttar Pradesh West, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Kolkata, Assam, Bihar, Chennai, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, North-East, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, and now Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh.
