Available only in the latest beta update, the new feature will enable you to check out a video as it downloads.

Downloaded a full video attachment on WhatsApp and realised that it was a waste of time and data? Finally, help at hand. In the latest beta update of the famous app, now one can stream the shared videos while downloading. Post update, when you receive a video, you will now see a ‘Play’ button even when the video is downloading. Also, at the bottom of the video menu you get the exact video size. Hitting the ‘Play’ button will instantly start streaming the video.

Note that, this feature is only available in beta version v2.16.354 and one needs to be a beta tester in order to use this feature.

Further, the option will be only available if only a beta tester shared a video. If a normal user shares a video, then there is no option to play the video.

WhatsApp, recently made its video calling feature official for all users. Following which a lot of spam messages started floating around the user base.

Further, the famous messenger is also working on a ‘Status Tab’ feature which is touted to be a lot similar to Snapchat Stories.
