Earlier today, we saw reports claiming that OnePlus might be testing Android 7.0 on the original OnePlus One. Accompanying those reports, OnePlus 2 was also spotted on Geekbench and surprisingly the device was running on Android 7.1 Nougat.
Codenamed A200x, the GFXBench 4.0 result details reveal the Tessellation as 1242 frames with 41.4 Fps and Tessellation Offscreen as 2476 frames with 41.3 Fps. At the same time, the ALU is showed to be at 1786 frames with FHD variant and Car Chase stated as ‘failed.’
While there has been no official confirmation on both OnePlus One and OnePlus Two, the reports claim that the company is working on releasing the updates for both the devices. For OnePlus 3 however, the company has revealed that it is already working on Android Nougat update.
Also, recently some reports suggested that OnePlus might launch another variant of OnePlus 3 with the name OnePlus 3T in the coming month. The new variant is expected to boast Snapdragon 821 chipset and denying the previous rumours of AMOLED displays shortage, OnePus 3T is expected to come with an Optic AMOLED Display rather than an LCD panel.
While if you can’t wait to try Android Nougat on your device, head out to XDA Developers Forum and if you are lucky you might find a stable Nougat ROM. However, we recommend installing custom ROMs only to those who have prior experience in same.
