Great news for Android users. Adobe has released a new patch for the problem that had cropped up earlier this month on Android and other devices.
The threat, as identified by Adobe, had a security risk which allowed hackers to take control of any device or computer that uses Adobe Flash 10.2.
The vulnerability, which was earlier identified as CVE-2011-0609, has been removed from the Flash Player with the help of a patch released on March 21.
With this, users can fully utilise the benefits of Flash 10.2 without worrying about security. New users of Flash need not install the patch as the updated setup will be available for download from Adobe’s website. But users need to be cautious while downloading the setup file as some websites might still be distributing the old version.
Users can either download the patch directly from Adobe’s website or can visit Android Market and get the latest upgrade/patch for their device.
