A month after partnering with Netflix, ACT Fibernet has announced the ACT Stream TV 4K device which will offer Live TV and video streaming through a single source. The ACT Stream TV 4K box will be available for an asking price of Rs 4,499.
As part of an introductory offer, the ACT StreamTV 4K will be provided for free to select 5000 customers with exclusive offers including, discounted rates on the VOD apps, extended trial periods on content apps, free access to pay-per-view content, download apps from Google Play Store and more.
The ACT Stream TV 4K will run on Android 9 Pie with access to over 3000 TV apps from the Google Play Store. The Stream TV 4K box will thus be able to stream videos, TV Shows and movies from Netflix, Hotstar, Sony Liv, Hooq, Zee5, YouTube, Sun NxT and more.
The 4K device will support Dolby Passthrough which will enable experience their favourite content. Customers can subscribe to premium content from existing OTT streaming partners and channels that have tied up with ACT Fibernet and pay for their subscription directly as part of their monthly bill.
The Stream TV 4K box will also offer Voice search through Google Assistant allowing users to the device and select desired content through voice commons. Additionally, it allows external connectivity, meaning users can plug in a hard disk, USB, joysticks and cameras to view pictures, chat online and make conference calls right from their TV.
The ACT Stream TV 4K device will be bundled with a remote control unit which can be used to operate the box. The remote offers an ergonomic design with minimalistic keys and offers shortcuts dedicated for select apps to switch between them on any screen they’re in.
ACT Fibernet will start selling the ACT Stream TV 4K for a price of Rs 4,499. It will be available with select plans and for purchase post commercial launch in May 2019.
