After announcing it at IFA 2016 along with Swift and Predator Gaming laptop back in September this year, Acer has today launched its ultra-thin convertible laptop, the Spin 7, in India. The convertible laptop is priced at Rs 1,09,000 and the company claims it to be the world’s thinnest convertible measuring at 10.98mm of thickness.
Weighing at just 1.2kgs, the new Acer Spin 7 comes with an all aluminium unibody design with matte black chassis which wraps a 14-inch Full HD IPS Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen display. To further enhance the experience, Acer has given in the Acer Color intelligence software which helps adjusts gamma and saturation in real-time. Further, saving on the CPU, the software can also optimize screen color and brightness along with BlueLightShield feature to protect from harmful screen emissions. Coming back to the design, the new convertible features silver hinges and diamond cut edges around the touchpad giving a premium look overall. The silver hinges help rotate the laptop up to 360 degrees in any direction enabling multiple modes in which the convertible can be used.
Jumping inside, the Spin 7 is powered by the all new 7th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD. The thin convertible runs on latest Windows 10 platform and sports a 4-cell 2770 mAh battery which Acer claims can last up to 8 hours of continuous usage. For connectivity, the device comes with 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports for charging and data syncing, Memory card reader etc. To enhance the audio experience, Acer has given in Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony in the new Spin 7. There is also an HD webcam with HDR for capturing images as well for video calls.
