Acer has announced the first Windows Mixed Reality headset in India at the Grand Finale of its Predator league event in Bengaluru on Saturday. The Acer Mixed Reality Headset offers a blend of features of both Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The company has however not revealed its price in India.
The headset comes with a 13-foot cable to provide you more freedom to move around, and connects to a PC via HDMI 2.0, while a USB 3.0 connector downloads data. The 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) positional tracking includes forward/back, up/down, left/right as well as roll. It has a Resolution display of up to 1440×1440 Pixel for immersive VR experience. A fast Refresh Rate of up to 90Hz delivers clear and realistic images for an eccentric mixed reality experience.
The headset and wireless motion controllers simultaneously allow people to interact with others in the physical realm without removing the headset. The two front-hinged 2.89-inch high-resolution liquid crystal displays provide a wide 95-degree field of view. Its double-padded, sweat-resistant material offers comfort and durability and allows easy adjustments of headbands to ensure a perfect fit.
