Just a monger after launching the Predator Triton 900 and Triton 500 laptops, Acer has now introduced two new Chromebase units – the Chromebase 24V2 and Chromebase 24I2; both Chrome OS running all-in-one desktops. While the Chromebase 24I2 is meant for flexible workstations, the Chromebase 24V2 is designed to make video-conferencing smooth and seamless.
Acer Chromebase for Meetings 24V2
The Chromebase for Meetings 24V2 features a 24-inch FHD touchscreen display with 250 nits of brightness. It features a 5MP Wide-Angle webcam which comes with its own system of video conferencing. Users can immediately make conference calls arranged and scheduled using Gmail and Google Calendar. It supports up to 25 callers out of the box through Google Hangouts Meet, up to 50 callers with Google’s G Suite Business, and up to 100 callers with G Suite Enterprise.
Additionally, the Chromebase comes with dual microphones that pick up voice loud and clear, and two stereo speakers for sharper audio.
The Chromebase 24V2 is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U Processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB of SSD storage.
Acer Chromebase 24I2
The Chromebase 24I2 comes with a similar 24-inch FHD IPS display with a Resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It features a narrow bezel display which is anti-glare and is capable of tilting between -5 and 25 degrees. The display can be optionally upgraded to a touchscreen panel and all of this house on a chassis which is supported by a diamond cut stand. The machine can be hung on walls, thanks to an optional VESA mounting kit which also conceals cords and is easy to use.
The Chromebase is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core processor with up to 8GB DDR4 RAM and up to 128GB SSD storage. Connectivity options include four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C connector, HDMI, SD card reader and RJ45 ports.
