Acer Iconia A700, 701 in making

Iconia A700/A701 tablet models feature native full 1080p HD display resolution and run quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors.

Acer seems to have been working on new powerful tablets which will support full with some powerful hardware and software.

The profiles of the two tablets – Acer Iconia A700 and Iconia A701, were spotted on the Acer website. According to the specifications mentioned on the website, both tablets would have 1920×1200 native resolution which means full 1080p HD native support. Out of both A700 is a only model while A701 is a Wi-Fi+3G model. They would also run quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor.

However, there is no detail on launch date of these tablets but we can always expect to see them at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in January 2012 in Las Vegas.

The Mobile Indian had earlier reported about the Iconia A510 and Iconia A511 models that will come with 720p HD display and quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processors.

If the Acer A700 and A701 models are released soon, both could be the first 1080p HD native resolution sporting tablets. Only concern would be the pricing and the operating loaded on it. Obviously both tablets will be released with the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update or would be upgradable to the same.
