User Agent profiles at the Acer website list the new Iconia A510/A511 running quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors. The device is still in the works.

With the recent launch of the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor, we did expect the number of tablets from different manufacturers to spawn. A user agent profile at Acer’s website lists a new Iconia A510 and an A511 tablet that will house the new quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC processors. The user agent profile and past naming chronology suggests that the new Iconia tablets will be WiFi only and WiFi+3G models.

Acer already has the Iconia A500 (WiFi) and Iconia A501 (WiFi+3G) models with dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processors. Now the new User Agent profiles of the Iconia A510 and Iconia A511 along with the Nvidia Tegra 3 listed in XML gives enough detail about the next major tablets from Acer.

Iconia A510 (WiFi) and Iconia A511 (WiFi+3G) both support WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. Both tablets will come with quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC processors but their clockspeed wasn’t mentioned in the XML file.

Looking at the user-agent profile these tablets appear to be in development and might be announced sometime early next year at the Consumer Electronics Show with 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on them.

Acer Iconia A500 and A501 received a somewhat lukewarm response in India but considering the Tegra 3 horsepower and Android 4.0 ICS features, Iconia A510 might just do the thing for Acer.
