Partnering with Flipkart, Sansui has today launched a new super-budget smartphone – Horizon 1. The device is priced at Rs 3,999 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart. Talking about the highlight of the device, Horizon 1 supports 4G VoLTE along with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display (854×480 Pixel resolution) which is decent considering the price point it sells at.
The launch marks the increasing entry of new players, at lower prices for 4G handsets. A phenomenon that caught majors like Micromax on the wrong foot, the new range of low priced 4G handsets may not usher in the demise of feature phones yet, but they will certainly ensure that the country lepfrogs the 3G generation completely this year.
Coming to the Horizon 1, we get a Quad-Core Spreadtrum SC9832 Chipset which is clocked at 1.3 GHz and the handset powers in Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Further, we get 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB via a dedicated micro SD. For the camera, the device sports a 5-megapixel rear camera which surprisingly packs in features like HDR, Panorama, Continuous shots, GIF mode, Slow motion recording etc. At the front, we have a 3.2megapixel shooter which can record videos at 30fps.
In terms of connectivity, the handset comes with 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB atc. Powering the device inside is a 2000 Ah battery and the device sells in Black and White colour variant. It measures at 136.6 x 68.7 x 9.75 mm and weighs around 126 grammes. Lastly, Sansui is also giving away 1 Year of warranty for the handset and 6 months protection on accessories.
