Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha has introduced the 2018 edition of the Cygnus Ray ZR in India. The company has commenced the dispatches of the sporty scooters to the authorised dealership at a price tag of Rs 53,451(ex-showroom, Delhi) for the standard variant and Rs 55,898 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the disc brake one.
The 2018 edition is equipped with the all-new graphics and a new paint scheme of Matt Green, Maverick Blue and Dark night Black. Further, the new Ray ZR is powered by the same 113cc displacement, 4-Stroke, 1-Cylinder, Air-Cooled engine, which is capable of producing 7.2 PS of maximum power at 7500 rpm and 8.1 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm.
As far as dimensions are concerned, the Ray features a length of 1820 mm, 700 mm of width and height of 1115. Further, the scooter comes with a wheelbase of 1270 mm, ground clearance of 130 mm and seat height of 775 mm.
Further, the 2018 Scooter runs on the 10-inch alloy wheels and rides on the telescopic fork suspension system at the front and the unit swing at the rear. Other than this, similar to the previous version, the Ray features an all-analogue speedometer and fuel gauge.
Meanwhile, Honda has introduced the Active 5G scooter in India,whichwas first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo, in February. The Scotty comes at a price tag of Rs 54,325 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it features an improved design language in eight paint options – Yellow, Brown, Grey, Black, Silver, White, Red and Blue.
