Open the App or the page of which you want to take a screen shot.

Hold the phone in vertical fashion with the app/page of which you want to take a screen shot.

Just move your hand, touching the display, from one end to the other.
Step 4:
A white line will go across the display to confirm that the screen shot has been taken. Otherwise, follow the procedure again.
However, if after multiple attempts also, you could not take the screenshot in the above mentioned procedure, you can follow the traditional method. Here is how you can do that in the most conventional Android fashion.

Press the Power and the Home buttons at a time and not one after other.
