You know how it is. Every time you want to go for a ‘value’ purchase, compromises are always close behind. Be it a feature, or even an offer, this is an issue with budget phones too.
For Honor 9N, this was yet another challenge to consider. From a brand that made dual cameras accessible to the segment, or ever better specs, it was time to go beyond the obvious. As it turns out, they have finally ‘solved’ the most obvious issue of all. Guessed it yet? Yes, we are talking about the choice of colours! So where you have every phone in the segment offering the choice of X and nothing, with said X typically being black, grey or a strange shade of silver, the Honor 9N has pulled a feature that was available only on ‘premium’ phones, with a choice of four colours for you.
The colours Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, Robin Egg Blue, and Lavender Purple. So there you have it. The conventional, and just a dash of unconventional for those among you who like to be just that little bit different. Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black are the obvious safe choices, of course. However, even the Robin Egg Blue and Lavender Purple are colours that have some research behind them, coming out on top for their comfort and soothing qualities, besides a special appeal for the young apparently.
Of course, add the other qualities that this phone packs and you will be hard pressed to find a match. A 13 layer premium glass design, a 16 MP front camera, a 13+2MP rear camera and a 14.84 cm Honor Notch full view display are just some of the basic specs you get on the Honor 9N.
In case you still don’t get the picture, that is a 19:9 aspect ratio, and 2280*1080 Full HD screen resolution.
The 16MP front camera helps you capture stunning selfies, thanks to its smart Portrait mode and 3D beauty effects, enhanced by the AR lens that can add some amazing touches to your pictures. Other premium features like the face unlock, the fingerprint unlock add a touch of extra with add ons like a special ‘quick Paytm access’, where you just need to touch the screen with a pre-assigned finger to get one touch access to the Paytm payment section directly.
All of this, run on the latest Android Oreo 8.1 version. In fact, the next OTA (over the air) update could add a lot more bang to this phone, especially with a party mode, where your phone can connect to six more devices simultaneously.
A superb game suite makes gaming disturbance free, managing your calls and notifications in the background. Put all of this together with the choice of RAM Memory combinations of 3/32 GB, 3/64GB and 4/128 GB, and you will have pretty much everything you could look for in a budget phone. With an established brand and service network, there really are no added conditions with this handset. Just added colours.
Planning to buy one? The Honor 9N will exclusively be available at an attractive price of INR 9999 as a part of the superstar offer during the Flipkart Big Billion Day sale starting 11th -14th October 2018.
