On the other hand, despite its high price, the Apple iPhone 7 offers a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 7 MP front camera. The Honor 8 convincingly defeats iPhone 7 in terms of processing power with its Kirin 950 octa-core CPU. The in-house Chipset is unique to Honor 8 and is made in the 16nm architecture. The CPU contains i5 co-processor, 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, enabling flawless multitasking and seamless gaming.
On the other hand, iPhone 7 offers a quad-core processor and just 2 GB RAM. The Honor 8 has a 5.2-inch display with full HD Resolution (1920×1080 pixels), thus offering superb 423 ppi pixel density. The iPhone 7 of Apple has a smaller 4.7 inch screen that offers only 750×1334 pixels resolution, thereby offering a meagre 326 ppi pixel density.
With 32/64 GB of internal storage along with an expandable storage slot capable of carrying a 128 GB micro SD card, the Honor 8 offers plenty of storage space for users. The iPhone 7 comes in 32, 128 and 256 GB memory options and none of them have any expandable storage facility. Also note that with increased storage, you have to shell out the higher amount as well.
In the latest Apple handset, you will get a 1960 mAh battery (as reported by various media organisations) while in Honor 8 there is a huge 3000 mAh battery. Both the phones offer WiFi (ac), NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS (with AGPS and GLONASS) and fingerprint sensor. The Apple iPhone 7 has a Micro USB 2.0 port while the Huawei smartphone boasts a faster USB Type-C port.
Interestingly, despite the upper hand in almost all segments, the Honor 8 is available for just Rs 29,999 which is much less than that of Apple iPhone 7 that is priced Rs 60,000 onwards for the Indian market. So can easily make out which is a performer and which one is hyped.
