Jolla is a mobile technology company from Finland and is the developer of open mobile operating system Sailfish OS. Its company was born in 2011, with roots in Nokia and MeeGo. Its phones runs on a Linux-based, independent, scalable and customizable mobile operating system called Sailfish OS. The first Sailfish OS mobile product, the Jolla smartphone, was first introduced in November 2013. Sailfish OS updates were provided for the Jolla 1 for 7 years.
