New update on WhatsApp iOS gets Siri talking

The latest WhatsApp update for the devices has brought some interesting features and now you can Siri to read your messages. Other than this, there other visual improvements in different departments as well and is available to download from the Store.

The latest version will now allow Siri to read your latest messages, though it acquires least iOS 10.3 and above. Earlier, users were able to compose and send WhatsApp messages through Siri, but know, one can also ask Siri to read by saying, “Hey Siri, read my last WhatsApp message”. The virtual assistant will read out the message for you and will prompt you to reply, which you can dictate it.

Other than this, the latest update also brings some visual improvements to the Calls tab, Contact Info and Group Info screens. The update also lets you select multiple statuses in the My Update section and forward or delete them easily. The update has also redesigned the two-step verification interface, which makes it easier to set up and the camera now remembers its last state of usage. Lastly, Persian language support has been added to the service.

WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature which will allow users to Change the number and notify all the concerned contacts automatically. The feature is being tested on WhatsApp beta version 2.17.130 for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile OS only. Further, a tweet from WABetainfo reveals that the company is testing the Live Location sharing feature as well. And lastly, the company is also working on message ‘revoke’ or ‘unsend’ feature. The user posted that there have been ‘many improvements for the revoke feature & you’ll be able to unsend messages sent within 5 minutes’.
