Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Infinity Display, 4000mAh battery launched in India

The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 67,900 for the 6GB RAM variant, while the 8GB RAM option is priced at Rs 84,900. The new Galaxy Note 9 comes loaded with some improvements in terms of design, new S Pen and inbuilt DeX support and more.

Samsung has today announced the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 9, in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 67,900 for the 6GB variant, while the 8GB RAM option is priced at Rs 84,900. The phone will be available for purchase from August 24.

The phone was already available for pre-booking from company’s official website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retailers. As a part of launch offers, the company is offering Rs 6,000 cashback on HDFC Bank cards. Further, there are no-cost options available on leading credit cards and Bajaj Finserv. Additionally, users buying the new phone from Paytm Mall will get Rs 6,000 cashback. There is Samsung Upgrade Offer under which users will get an additional Rs 6,000 value with exchange on models.

Further, the company has tied up with different operators to give you more data benefits on the latest smartphone. To start with, Airtel users opting for the latest device will 75GB per month additional data on select Airtel Infinity plans. Vodafone users will get 12 months of free Netflix subscription on select Vodafone Red postpaid plans. Lastly, Reliance Jio users will get exclusive international monthly pack.

The new Galaxy Note 9 comes loaded with some improvements in terms of design, new S Pen and inbuilt DeX support and more. The new S Pen can be connected via and it can be used to click a selfie, pause a video on YouTube and more. The phone also features inbuilt support for DeX. All you need to is connect with HDMI adapter to a monitor and once connected, the device works as a desktop and even serve as a fully-functional second screen.

Jumping straight to the specifications, the Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4-inch Quad Super AMOLED Infinity display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels, 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a density of 516ppi. The phone is powered by Samsung Exynos 9810 processor. The phone comes in two storage options: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 512GB storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 1TB via micro card slot. With this, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will give a stiff competition to the likes of Oppo Find X, Huawei P20 Pro and Apple iPhone X.

For optics, the phone is equipped with AI-infused dual rear cameras. The camera comes with a combination of combination of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture, meaning that one switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture. The secondary sensor is equipped with a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x and f/2.4 aperture. For the front, the phone is equipped with an 8-megapixel shooter.

The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with and wireless charging support and it runs on 8.1 Oreo based on Samsung Experience UI. On the connectivity front, you get dual-SIM, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, 1024QAM, Bluetooth 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), ANT+, Type-C, NFC, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou and 3.5mm audio jack.
