Quad-core LG LE970 to arrive with next generation graphics

LG is working on a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor bearing LE970 smartphone that features Adreno 320 graphics chip.

LG is reportedly working on a high-end smartphone that will house a quad-core mobile processor and feature next generation mobile graphics. The high end smartphone, called LG LE970, was spotted by Engadget on the GLBenchmark page.

According to the report, the LG LE970 will feature a 1280×768 resolution bearing touchscreen display. The processor housed inside it runs at 1512 and is presumed to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 mobile processor with four cores. This quad-core mobile processor has been manufactured using 28 nm manufacturing process and can be pushed to up to 1.7 GHz clock speed.

This mobile processor features the next generation Adreno 320 graphics that are expected to offer up to four times the performance improvement than its predecessor. This Adreno 320 graphics chip will support more complex 3D graphic effects and also offer hardware acceleration with advanced rendering.

The LG LE970 smartphone ran 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and most likely will debut with US-based AT&T network. We hope to see this quad-core LG smartphone later this year but as of now there is no official information on its launch and availability.
