Earlier, we have seen many leaks and rumours of the OnePlus 4 smartphone. Well, now if the new reports are to be believed, there is no such OnePlus 4 is coming next year. Instead, OnePlus 5 smartphone would be coming up.
Actually, in China, the number 4 is considered as an unlucky number as it is symbolic of death. So OnePlus might avoid launching a smartphone with this number. Obviously, this means that the next flagship coming in 2017 will be called OnePlus 5, thus skipping the OnePlus 4 name.

Another piece of information which is coming in rumours is about the body of OnePlus upcoming flagship smartphone. Apparently, the company is planning to replace the aluminium body of the phone with a ceramic one. OnePlus 5 is tipped to come with ceramic bodyshell made by the same firm which created the Xiaomi Mi Mix’s ceramic exterior.
The company that provided the ceramic body for the Xiaomi Mi Mix manufacturer has confirmed that OnePlus is one of its new clients. So its is highly expected that the next OnePlus smartphone will feature a ceramic body. The ceramic smartphone will join the bandwagon of earlier launched OnePlus X which was launched with the same ceramic body.
As per reports, OnePlus 5 is expected to come with Android Nougat out of the box, and OnePlus OxygenOS UI on top of it. It will reportedly feature 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.
As of now, we have only this much information and we have to wait for some updates on this too. Till then keep checking The Mobile Indian.
