HMD Global launched Nokia 6 (2018) along with Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco in India last month with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Now the company has launched a new variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage in India for Rs 18,999 which is named as Nokia 6 (2018) or Nokia 6.1. The smartphone will go on sale on Amazon from May 13 and is listed on the e-commerce site with “Notify Me” option. Currently, the 3GB variant is priced at Rs 16,999 in India.
Amazon is offering varous launch offers with the purchase of Nokia 6 (2018) 4GB RAM variant which includes No Cost EMI upto 12 months, Rs 2,000 cashback for Airtel 4G subscribers, 25 percent discount on domestic hotels booking through MakeMyTrip, and free customisable prints or 20 percent off on purchases through Picsdream Moments & Memories, free Airtel TV subscription till 31 December 2018 and free 12 months damage insurance by Servify.
Earlier Nokia Mobile India teased the launch of upcoming variant on its official Twitter handle.
The tweet by Nokia reads “A phone you can rely on is coming your way. Stay tuned!” It carries a video teaser which says “up your pace” and comes “with even more space” which hinted that the new variant will soon debut in India.

The specifications of the new variant remain same as existing 3GB variant. Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with Adreno 508 GPU. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which lies on the back of the device. The Nokia 6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and it is an Android One phone.
On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. While at the front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 1.12um sensor and f/2.0 Aperture for selfies and video calling. Nokia 6 (2018) comes with dual view mode which will allow you to capture feeds from both front and rear camera at the same time.
Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers hybrid Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers, and Dolby Atmos.
