Meizu M6s launched with 5.7-inch full-screen display and Exynos 7872 SoC

The Meizu M6s is the first Meizu handset to sport a full-screen design with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Meizu has today finally launched its new smartphone in China, named as Meizu M6s. The Meizu M6s comes in two variants – one with 3GB with 32GB internal storage and another 3GB RAM with 64 internal storage priced at 999 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 99,30) and 1199 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 11,910) respectively. The smartphone comes in three colours- Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Moonlight Silver and Cobalt Blue and it will be made available from January 19 onwards.

The Meizu M6s is the first Meizu handset to sport a full-screen design with 18:9 aspect ratio. It features a 5.7-inch display with a screen of 1440 x 720 pixels. The display will be covered by a 2.5D curved glass on top.

Meizu M6s is powered by a 14nm Samsung Exynos chipset. The Samsung Exynos 7872 is manufactured using the 14nm FinFET LLP (low power plus) process. Exynos 7872 feature six cores with four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.6 GHz meant for power efficiency while remaining two Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz will be meant for performance. The chipset comes loaded with Mali-G71 GPU.

Meizu M6s has a 3GB RAM and 32GB and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD. The smartphone runs 7.1.2 Nougat wrapped under Flyme OS 6.2. The battery will have 3,000 mAh capacity with support for 18W that can charge from 0 to 30% in 15 minutes. It has a Super mBack fingerprint scanner on its side unlocks with the phone in just 0.2 seconds.

For the camera department, the device features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, flash and an 8-megapixel with a f/2.0 front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity features of Meizu M6s include dual-SIM support, LTE, Wi-Fi 802 b/g/n, 4.2 and GPS. The smartphone measures 152 x 72.5 x 8.0 mm and weighs 160 grams.
